California Light Works has been a top US company in the LED Grow light area for several years, but two unique features of their new SolarStorm product has separated them from the competition. They have gone to 5 watt Led emitters and have added two T8 florescent UVB bulbs. The 5 watt Led’s produce a better, stronger light and the T8 UVB bulbs cover the spectrum that isn’t available in Led and is believed to support higher potency when switched on during the final blooming phase. The 440 will cover a 6’x6’ area during growth and a 3’x3’ area for blooming.
